It's finally out - three years of countless evenings and weekends writing, recording, mixing and mastering have went into this and now you can take part in this journey!
Chiaroscuro is a term used for a painting technique established during the renaissance era and is characterized by a strong contrast of light and dark. Thus, you might have guessed that the themes explored on this album also loosely connect to the coexistence of light and dark in the big paintings we call our lives (that sounds way too theatrical, but you get the point). There's hope admidst despair, affection next to antipathy, social connection among isolation... It's been very cathartic to turn dealing with all these inner and outer contrasts into music and maybe listening to it has some of that effect on you as well - or perhaps you simply let yourself getting lost in the music for a while. We've been going through some heavy stuff collectively as of lately and sometimes it's good to escape just for an hour or so. If you want, this can be a place for you to go in such a moment.
I'd like to thank all of you who were by my side over the last few years (and before) and supported me in making this project become reality - this is dedicated to you!
Special thanks to Maya and Ruben for their invaluable contributions to this album.
